Compass Wall Art

A compass rose, sometimes called a wind rose, rose of the winds or compass star, is a figure on a compass, map, nautical chart, or monument used to display the orientation of the cardinal directions (north, east, south, and west) and their intermediate points.  The word "compass" comes from the Latin words "com" meaning together and "passus" meaning pace or step. Together, the word compass means to step together or to journey together.  The compass is very symbolic and meaningful to many people.
