Oak Tree - Wall Art

Over history, the oak has been a symbol for strength and power. Some Roman emperors wore crowns of oak leaves.  Oak trees are very long lived - some have been alive for 1000 years.  They continue to grow and produce acorns until they reach the age of 700. An ancient tree, they have existed on earth for around 45 million years.  The Oak is often pictured as the "Tree of Life".  Why is the oak tree the Tree of Life?  As the oak trees were some of the largest and tallest trees in the forest, they frequently attracted lightning strikes. This was seen by the Celts as a sign from the gods that the tree was special and as the tree grows old and rots, its acorn seeds ensure new beginnings so the tree was seen as immortal.
